APPENDIX FILES FOR RUNNING THE VIRTUAL PALATE (Hutson et al. 2016)
Date: September 7, 2016

(A) PYTHON FILES (1-4)
These *.py files are the code for the virtual palate simulations. The Aug 2015 version is the base code used for some of the work and palate_steppables.py is slightly updated and is the latest version; there is no discernable difference between model outputs run by either Python script.

       visualization_steppables.py
       palate2d.py
       palate_steppables.py
       palate_steppables Aug2015.py

(B) INITIALIZATION FILES (5-6)
These *.piff files are initialization files for CompuCell3D.

       palateShelf_200x400MNOtwoB.piff

(C) OUTLINE OF STEPPABLES (1)
This appendix provides a guide to reading the steppables in the CompuCell3D model.
	OutlineOfSimulationSteppables.docx

(D) EGF-TGF SWITCH (3)

EGF_TGF_Switch_Sept2016.nb - This is the Mathematica file used to analyze the EGF-TGF switch and make the bifurcation plots. For those who do not have Mathematica, two PDF files are included:

EGF_TGF_Switch_Sept2016_*.pdf - These PDF files show printouts of the Mathematica file above when run for either switch A (low hysteresis) or switch B (high hysteresis).

(E) VIDEOS S1 to S5
Several versions are provided in the CC3D_MOVIES_virtual palate folder:

*.avi is best resolution but large files.
*hires.mp4 have good resolution, but still too big for PPTx.
*.mp4 gives decent resolution and can be embedded into PPTx.
*.wmv is small files but weak resolution.
